The small BDSM leathercrafter has always been kind of screwed when it comes to buying hardware. He doesn't want a whole bunch of it, and if he's new doesn't really know what to buy anyway. Every option out there has had bothersome drawbacks... "wholesale" membership clubs where you pay for the priviledge of decent retail pricing, big fat minimum order amounts, and line item minimums. God forbid you buy hardware from a kinky site. The "kinky premium" has been in full effect. Finally, most options either have an extremely limited selection of BDSM-specific stuff or lots of general leathercraft hardware and very little BDSM special interest items.

I'm not trying to get the general leathercrafter's business (hey, if you're out there reading this, your money is good here too! ;). I make no secret of the fact that this stuff can be used for kinky equipment, and that I tend to do so.

Over time, the two sites will become more closely related. Eventually, I'd like to allow folks to put items in a shopping cart straight from the WWL projects. Kitting hardware based on projects is a bit more complex than I initially expected, particularly if I try to include leather in amounts suited to the project in question. Basically, it's a fulfillment nightmare. Although this space did anticipate these offerings, apparently the crystal ball is fritzier than I thought!. However, I have been able to put tool kits together... you'll find them on the Tools page.

I am taking it on the road! Sartan is now accepting speaking engagements at least around Central Texas. I'll probably do some event vending as time allows, too. I don't do a typical stand-and-present, but a much more interactive and free-flowing group discussion... be warned. Hands-on workshop of 2 hours to a full day in length also available.
